Course Objectives:

To gain knowledge of the English legal system
Know the terminology of legal system
Know the structure of law in UK
To have an understanding of the different aspects of law
Understanding the CPS service

Who should attend?

Lawyers, Solicitors, or judges who are interested to improve their professional English language in law.

Master and PhD student who study law and related subjects.

Course structure:

Two 90-minute sessions per week, over five weeks.

* Legal system,
* Sources of legislation,
* Sources of law,
* The court system,
* Tribunals,
* The law firm’s structure and practice,
* The role of Solicitors, Barristers, Judges
* CPS Service and Building a case

Method of course delivery:

This course will be presented in an interactive format in online classes with continuous opportunities for speaking and discussion.

Certification:

Upon completion of the programme, you will receive a Certificate of Attendance from the Oxford Language College.
